Yes…We know we’ve been very quiet on the News & Musings front recently. But R&R has been very active in many other realms. So much has happened in the last few months….new line-up, bigger shows, newer songs!
The biggest news is that after an extended bass player search, The Ruckus has finally dialed in the final full band line-up! In addition to the steady style of guitarist Alec Sims and drummer Kyle Comerford, the Ruckus added bassist Vince Carmellini (aka Big Nasty) and sax-man Max Reed to the ranks. The “Ruckus sound” is now smooth like driving a long road on new pavement….like a tumbler of Johnny Walker Blue on a first date…like the person who tried to seduce you in college, but without all of the regret…you get the idea!
We spent the last four months rehearsing and cutting our teeth at new venues. We also developed a softer side of the performing as we now have full band performing acoustic versions of our songs in addition to the full-on electric awesome-ness versions. Hence, we’re ready to roll out to better shows and we expect the release of one or two singles by the end of the year.
We will be posting some videos of some recent shows, as well as a improved social media presence on Twitter, Instagram, and SoundCloud. The website will be updated with new pictures very soon.
